How Often Should You Get a Tune-Up?
Most modern cars with synthetic or synthetic blend oil can go 7,500 to 10,000 miles, and in some cases even up to 15,000 miles, between lube, oil, and filter changes. Older cars using conventional oil, however, may need service as often as every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. The most reliable source for your specific vehicle's maintenance schedule is the owner's manual. It will list the correct mileage and time intervals for both normal and severe driving conditions
